Sara was born and raised in the Mojave Desert and came to Long Beach to pursue her passion in Child Development Special Education. She continues her education at Long Beach State. Her passion in caring for others, especially children, comes from such a sacred place. Sara has volunteered with teen girls who struggle with domestic abuse for over six years and is also a certified nursing assistant. She believes in connection and honesty, which starts with our children and their future. She believes that children are not things to be molded, but are people to be unfolded. She wishes for everyone to remember the wealth of sympathy, the kindness, and the generosity hidden in the soul of a child. The effort of every true education should be too unlock these treasures.
